Animato - gut shot pics. Help us out? (or just laugh in my face, whatever...)

Hey guys,

I found some gutshot pics of a Human Gear Animato from some japenese guy's blog, he said he's made a clone and traced the schematic, but I can't get hold of him. I know that tracing a schematic from these pictures is impossible, but does anybody want to have a go at guessing what the circuit does, or give a rough outline of how it might work? Any ideas are appreciated - I've run out.

Oh, its a high gain distortion pedal, it has been compared to a RAT, but with less low end. It also has more of a 'nasal' characteristic to it.
