what are other ''amp in a box" projects besides a dr. Boogey?  My friends wanna buy a new preamp but when they  saw the dr. Boogey I've built, they just ignore it since our group got a mesa boogie dual rectifier amp...we need another one with different character but our search seems hopeless...

Here are 4 takes and all were recorded without pause so you can hear the difference while I am switching and stopping between takes... Also, I didn't touch my vol on my guitar at all, it was on full for the entire sample so you can hear the noise or lack of noise when I stop playing...

They go in this order:
1) Boost off and noise gate on
2) Boost on and noise gate on
3) Boost on and noise gate off
4) Boost off and noise gate off

Not at all! But it's tricky to get set... How well it works depends on the bias Q4 and Q5.

BTW - I really want to do a BSIAB like the Spitfire which is killer!!! Been looking at some crazy Russian schematics, found one called Dist90xGT... holy wow!
