I am just getting started in building stomp boxes. I just finished wiring a simple killswitch with a LED. It worked perfectly before I put it in the enclosure. Once I put it in the enclosure, I got nothing. I noticed that then the jack touched the enclosure, it shorted out. What do I do to prevent this?

Do you have any pictures of your build?

It can be prevented in many ways like placing tape or heat shrink at the points where it can be shorted, that's something every day when a circuit weapons, especially in a small box, if you can send a photo of your project others (and I) could help you better with your problem.
I'm Carlos.

I speak spanish, just in case you do not understand what I say.

What killswitch type were you wiring? The ones I have done on guitars and pedals have been simple and unpowered and didn't need an led.

Have to give a plug to Dano - http://www.beavisaudio.com/Projects/StutterPedal/index.htm
