why no words about these transistors?

I have experienced very good soundings with 2N697  and 2N3053 transistors.
And I never seen them in any pedal schematics.

I'm sure you have and I've also used a few "odd" things too !
What most people will do, is use more common npn/pnp trannies, just
to make it easier to build etc.
If they are hard to find .... that would be a bummer ... no ?
