Digging through the diystompboxes.com site for a Smash Drive clip, I also found this...

What pedal is this?

Thanks,

Cool  :icon_cool: Thanks!

And armed with that info and the search function, I now understand that the file name stands for Tone Bender Sweet Thing (TBST). Wouldn't have figured that out by myself since a search for "tbst" yielded no pertinent results.

A quick look at the schem showed me cascaded gain stages (well, two or three - not sure if the JFET is for gain or tone only) and no clipping diodes. This supports my earlier theories that this arrangement is the source of the sound I seek.

I'll tell how I figured it out.
Play the clip with windows media, then right click on the file name and select Properties. The name of the clip was in there.

Hot Fuzz Pro alright.... Darn it, I think I left that pedal in Hilo.

I may build myself another. It's sounds HUGE.

D'oh! It was in the ID3v2 tag. Didn't even think of looking there.  :icon_redface:

skyhigh

sounds like it's played through a pretty good amp 2 and not a clean channel :)
but it sounded very good.

I'm pretty sure it was Hot Fuzz Pro->Marshall Speaker sim->computer. At least that's what I am guessing. It's not an amp AFAIK.
